1 Samuel 8:20

וְהָיִ֥ינוּ גַם־אֲנַ֖חְנוּ כְּכָל־הַגֹּויִ֑ם וּשְׁפָטָ֤נוּ מַלְכֵּ֨נוּ֙ וְיָצָ֣א לְפָנֵ֔ינוּ וְנִלְחַ֖ם אֶת־מִלְחֲמֹתֵֽנוּ׃

And we shall be like all the nations, and our king shall judge us, and he shall go out before us and fight our battles.”
