ויהי השמש לבוא ותרדמה נפלה על אברם והנה אימה חשכה גדלה נפלת עליו׃

וַיְהִ֤י הַשֶּׁ֨מֶשׁ֙ לָבֹ֔וא וְתַרְדֵּמָ֖ה נָפְלָ֣ה עַל־אַבְרָ֑ם וְהִנֵּ֥ה אֵימָ֛ה חֲשֵׁכָ֥ה גְדֹלָ֖ה נֹפֶ֥לֶת עָלָֽיו׃

And it happened, as the sun was going down, that a deep sleep fell upon Avram; and behold, terror and great darkness were falling upon him.
