Καὶ ἐγένετο ὁ κατακλυσμὸς τεσσαράκοντα ἡμέρας καὶ τεσσαράκοντα νύκτας ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς, καὶ ἐπεπληθύνθη τὸ ὕδωρ καὶ ἐπῆρεν τὴν κιβωτόν, καὶ ὑψώθη ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς.
And the deluge came for forty days and forty nights upon the earth, and the water was multiplied and the ark was lifted up, and it was elevated high above the earth.

The flood was forty days on the earth, and the waters increased and lifted up the ark, and it rose above the earth.
