Numbers 9:16

כֵּ֚ן יִהְיֶ֣ה תָמִ֔יד הֶעָנָ֖ן יְכַסֶּ֑נּוּ וּמַרְאֵה־אֵ֖שׁ לָֽיְלָה׃

So it would always be: the cloud covered it by day, and the appearance of fire by night.
