1 Samuel 8:19

וַיְמָאֲנ֣וּ הָעָ֔ם לִשְׁמֹ֖עַ בְּקֹ֣ול שְׁמוּאֵ֑ל וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ לֹּ֔א כִּ֥י אִם־מֶ֖לֶךְ יִֽהְיֶ֥ה עָלֵֽינוּ׃

But the people refused to listen to the voice of Shemuʾel, and they said, “No, but a king shall be over us.
