וַיַּשְׁכִּ֣מוּ בַבֹּקֶר֮ מִֽמָּחֳרָת֒ וְהִנֵּ֣ה דָגֹ֗ון נֹפֵ֤ל לְפָנָיו֙ אַ֔רְצָה לִפְנֵ֖י אֲרֹ֣ון יְהוָ֑ה וְרֹ֨אשׁ דָּגֹ֜ון וּשְׁתֵּ֣י כַּפֹּ֣ות יָדָ֗יו כְּרֻתֹות֙ אֶל־הַמִּפְתָּ֔ן רַ֥ק דָּגֹ֖ון נִשְׁאַ֥ר עָלָֽיו׃
And they arose early in the morning the next day, and behold, Dagon had fallen face down to the ground before the Ark of YHWH, and the head of Dagon and both of the palms of his hands were cut off upon the threshold; only Dagon himself remained upon him.
