1 Samuel 15:8

וַיִּתְפֹּ֛שׂ אֶת־אֲגַ֥ג מֶֽלֶךְ־עֲמָלֵ֖ק חָ֑י וְאֶת־כָּל־הָעָ֖ם הֶחֱרִ֥ים לְפִי־חָֽרֶב׃

And he captured Agag, king of ʿAmaleq, alive, but all the people he devoted to destruction by the edge of the sword.
