Deuteronomy 24:7

כִּי־יִמָּצֵ֣א אִ֗ישׁ גֹּנֵ֨ב נֶ֤פֶשׁ מֵאֶחָיו֙ מִבְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְהִתְעַמֶּר־בֹּ֖ו וּמְכָרֹ֑ו וּמֵת֙ הַגַּנָּ֣ב הַה֔וּא וּבִֽעַרְתָּ֥ הָרָ֖ע מִקִּרְבֶּֽךָ׃

If a man is found kidnapping a person from among his brothers, the children of Yisraʾel, and he enslaves him or sells him, then that thief shall die, and you shall remove the evil from your midst.
