Deuteronomy 2:15

וְגַ֤ם יַד־יְהוָה֙ הָ֣יְתָה בָּ֔ם לְהֻמָּ֖ם מִקֶּ֣רֶב הַֽמַּחֲנֶ֑ה עַ֖ד תֻּמָּֽם׃

and indeed, the hand of YHWH was against them to destroy them from within the camp until they were finished.
